Honda is getting ready to give its popular mid-size SUV a fresh lease of life. The Honda Elevate facelift is set to make its India debut on October 6, 2026, and bookings for the updated SUV have now officially opened across Honda dealerships in the country.
Customers interested in the facelifted Elevate can reserve the SUV by paying a booking amount of ₹21,000. Honda has also released a teaser that gives the first official glimpse of the changes coming to the SUV, including revised exterior styling and updates inside the cabin.
India will be the first market globally to receive the updated Honda Elevate, making this facelift an important product for Honda as it enters the festive buying season.
Honda Elevate Facelift: What Has Changed?
The facelift does not appear to bring a completely new design, but Honda has made several visual changes to give the Elevate a fresher and more premium appearance.
The front end gets a redesigned grille featuring glossy hexagonal elements. One of the most noticeable changes is the repositioning of the Honda logo from the grille to the bonnet.
The SUV also gets new segmented LED daytime running lights, giving the front profile a look similar to the updated Honda City. The main headlamp units and fog-lamp housings appear to retain a familiar design.
At the rear, the biggest change is expected to be the addition of connected LED tail-lights, giving the Elevate a more contemporary look.
The facelift is also expected to feature revised bumpers and new alloy wheel designs, although Honda has not yet revealed the complete exterior specification.

Cabin Gets a More Premium Touch
While Honda’s teaser focuses more heavily on the exterior, it also provides a brief look at the updated cabin.
The dashboard appears to get a revised design with more white leatherette treatment and contrasting stitching. Another visible addition is amber-coloured ambient lighting, which runs across the dashboard and door panels.
This is a notable change because ambient lighting on the outgoing Elevate is available as a dealer-level accessory rather than as an integrated factory feature.
Honda is yet to reveal the complete feature list, but reports suggest that the facelift could bring several features aimed at addressing areas where the current Elevate faces stronger competition.
Expected additions include ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a powered front passenger seat, rear sunblinds and a panoramic sunroof. A factory-fitted 360-degree camera has also been discussed as a possible addition, although this has not been officially confirmed.
Will the Honda Elevate Get a 360-Degree Camera?
Interestingly, the teaser appears to show a camera pod mounted on the left ORVM. This suggests that Honda could continue with its LaneWatch camera system rather than switching completely to a 360-degree camera setup.
The outgoing Elevate already gets Honda’s LaneWatch system, which provides a view of the left side of the vehicle through the infotainment screen when the left turn indicator is activated.
Whether Honda introduces a proper 360-degree camera on higher variants will be confirmed only when the full specifications are announced.

Engine and Gearbox: Major Changes Unlikely
Under the bonnet, the Honda Elevate facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine.
The engine currently produces around 121hp and 145Nm and is available with two transmission choices: a 6-speed manual and a 7-step CVT automatic.
For buyers who appreciate Honda’s naturally aspirated petrol engine for its smooth and predictable character, the continuation of this powertrain means the facelift should remain familiar to drive.
However, one question that remains is whether Honda will introduce the City’s strong-hybrid powertrain in the Elevate.
The City is available with Honda’s 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid setup, but current reports suggest that the hybrid powertrain is unlikely to be introduced with the Elevate facelift. Honda has not announced a hybrid version of the updated SUV so far.
Honda Elevate Facelift Price Expectations
Honda has not announced the prices of the facelifted Elevate yet. The official launch and price announcement are scheduled for October 6, 2026.
The current Elevate is priced from around ₹11.81 lakh, with the range extending to approximately ₹16.36 lakh ex-showroom, depending on the variant. The facelift is expected to command a premium because of its styling and feature upgrades.
The final pricing will be particularly important because the Elevate operates in one of India’s most competitive SUV segments.
Rivals of the New Honda Elevate
The updated Elevate will continue to compete in the crowded mid-size SUV category, where buyers have plenty of choices.
Its key rivals include the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Renault Duster. The recently introduced Tata Sierra also adds another layer of competition in this segment.
The segment has also moved rapidly towards more features, hybrid powertrains, connected technology and premium interiors. As a result, the Elevate facelift comes at an important time for Honda.

What Does the Elevate Facelift Mean for Buyers?
The Honda Elevate has always taken a slightly different approach in the mid-size SUV market. Instead of chasing every trend, it has focused on a spacious cabin, comfortable ride, naturally aspirated petrol performance and Honda’s familiar driving experience.
The facelift appears to bring the areas that modern SUV buyers increasingly look for—fresh styling, more cabin technology, additional comfort features and a more premium interior.
The big question will be whether these upgrades come at a price that keeps the Elevate competitive.
With bookings already open for ₹21,000 and the official launch scheduled for October 6, buyers now have only a few days to wait before Honda reveals the complete picture.
For those planning to buy a mid-size SUV during the festive season, the Honda Elevate facelift could be one of the key launches to watch in October 2026.
